Jørn Utzon

Jørn Utzon is regarded as one of the most influential Danish architects of the past century. He is the man behind large buildings such as Sydney Opera House, Kuwait National Assembly, Kingo Houses, Paustian House and Bagsværd Church. Jørn Utzon started his professional career by making lighting designs together with Sven Middelboe, including the beautiful SUNDOWNER in 1948. In his later years, Utzon travelled to the USA, Mexico and Morocco, which became distinctive sources of inspiration for his architecture. His work is characterised by thoughtful functionalism and sculptural harmony whether it be lighting, architecture, art or objects.
