Located at the exclusive hotel Pan Pacific London, Tom Dixon Studio chose the remarkable and sculptural DIVAN 2 pendants as the interior's most dramatic and eye-catching element at the recently opened SHIOK! Patisserie.
DIVAN 2 is a truly captivating pendant designed by Simon P. Henningsen in 1962 and is a masterpiece of lighting design that's a joy to behold even when switched off. The manufacturing of each pendant involves a meticulous multi-step process in which each trapezoid is polished by hand.
The carefully positioned trapezoids, which are mirror-like on the outside and multi-coloured on the inside, enact a fascinating display of indirect light. A sculptural piece of art, still hand-assembled to perfection.
